Time

Time
Sometimes it's so fast
Kids growing up,
You think you're watching,
savoring, but
we blink,
and they're so
GROWN

Time
Sometimes so slow
Claustrophobicallystuckinthewindowseatwithnoroom
foryourkneesoryournotebookordrink
Unending time,
Unmeasurable, no clocks

Time
You stare at that clock
The hands don't move, or
They're moving backwards, as
You contemplate fate
What brought you here,
How long you'll stay
If you'll ever leave, or

If you and that clock
Will be having that same, stale
Staring contest
Through eternity

But sometimes
TIME
Just is, and you
Endure the next minute
the next minute, and even
the next minute

Until the minutes stack themselves
Tall enough that you have
A foothold, and can
Finally, escape
Return
Home

Home is where time
Loses it's meaning, and
You just ARE,
regardless
Of what's happening

It doesn't matter
Fast, slow, uncomfortable
Brief
Home, IS

Timeless comfort.

****
It's been a...trying month. Thought I'd share some of the aspects.

Inescapable time. I use this in my books. Time is almost a character that takes a prevelent role. And it's always good to be home.

But do you feel better at least I hope...not as well as you'd feel in your own bed or couch I guess.

I love the poem. For someone with a sleep problem it makes PERFECT sense.

ha. i like the mash up word...it gives the feel...time is....use what you have, it will be the last time you see it.

Nice to be home isn't it? Time is so relative, depends what you are waiting for.

I remember the "time" I realized that time was ticking away and that soon it would be three months later and I would be thinking back on this time when I thought that time would never get here. But it did. You know? There is no now. Only before and next. Even in the bad times, next comes. Hope your "next time" is better than your "before time"!

home is where time loses its meaning... where we just can be...yes... it must be wonderful to not longer be tied to the dimension time... i feel you in the time is running... kids growing up...my daughter is just about to fly out to bolivia and costa rica tomorrow for two months and when i held and prayed for her before she went to bed i thought i just cannot believe where time went...

Tina, take care of you.

I always tell myself that if time seems to pass by on wings, I'm happy. Time has been slow lately for me, too.

Thanks for being such a loving, nourishing friend on the team.

Hi Tina .. I'm glad you're back and I hope things are easier. Been thinking about you ...

How can we turn the time that is slow and heavy into a lighter remembrance time, when we're struggling with each moment or minute .. something definitely to think about ...

Cheers and I hope you've had a peaceful weekend .. and will have a better week .. Hilary

I know the feeling. Time just keeps flying by in the blink of an eye, but as long as you're at home and with loved ones, it doesn't matter how fast it goes. Just that it's going.

Love the poem.
