Today my ninjas are
chiseling memories
into artistic chunks
these renegade artists
can turn that blob,
stuck to your mud guards
into slushy sculpture
“It's a fish!”
Chisel and hammer
applied to snow
by artists
dressed in boots
hats,
gloves, but
coats shed
as their lassoed
energy
burns, with
creative fire
and
their meticulous masterpiece
melts
in their hands.
P.S The ninja thing is a reference to an earlier poem I wrote here.

Today, my kids wrote winter Haiku. Ninja-less Haiku...

Yes! I do get this one. Reminds me of when my own were small. Snow really is for kids.
Thanks for sharing,
Kat

Wowww!! And right here, if words and alphabets are the slush and ice, then you, my dear, are the fine sculptor! :)
Really enjoyed reading this image-rich poem!!!
A very happy new year to you, Tina!!!
Wonderful words woven together...a magical story emerges! LOVED IT!
Love your expression of your ninja artists displaying their talent, their magical worlds.
Children are fantastical!
Our snow is gone for the moment, though we are promised more soon. I can picture your ninjas sculpting.
Playful, smile-inducing, attention-grabbing word choices.
