This
is the day which the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalm 118:24
This
is also the year which the LORD has made. I'm going to focus on
contentment as my word for the year. It was my word last year
too. I did a horrible job. Therefore, I've given my self a “redo”
of the assignment to see if I can get a better grade.
Have
you chosen a word to focus on this year? Many people, not just
bloggers, are doing this. You can go back to “A Word to Savor”,
from 2010, the first year I did this, for links to hints and encouragement and a thorough explanation. (You can also see how much my blogging has improved since then. Actually cracked me up to see how far I've come...)

That's a good word, Tina. Mine was give last year - need to think of one for this year.
I have a sentence to focus on this year: "My times are in the hand of The Father."
Thanks for mentioning me on twitter. I slept in today -- my last chance for a very loooong time! Happy New Year.
I can't be confined by a single word.
i will probably have quite a few words for the year...ha...hopefully...contentment is a good word...there is peace in it...
Well ever since my guy said, 'I think it's about time to make an honest man outta me', my word for 2014 will be 'marriage'. So fingers crossed it happens this year, probably summer or fall.
Never thought of having a word for the year. I'm going to go with "continue."
I don't believe in any Gods, but still I hope it will be a good year.
Happy New Year, with or without Gods >:)

Nope, I've never done the one word challenge -- at least -- not as a new year resolution. I've used it in journaling and in daily focus... Okay, maybe I have done the one word challenge. =)
Here's to an amazing 2014!
I've never heard of this before, but I'm going to have to check it out. Good luck getting a better grade this year!

Phillipians 118:24 was my mom's favorite Bible verse; I made a cross-stitch of it for her one Christmas. It's always been special to me, too.
I don't have a focus word yet, but I'm going to take some time today and come up with one.
Happy, Contented New Year to you.
If I had a word for 2013 it would have been, 'what?'
For 2014, I think I'll choose, "Hungry."
Hi Tina,
You've come a long way, Tina. Amazing coincidence, perhaps. However, on Farcebook, somebody asked us to describe in one word our goal for 2014. My word, "contentment."
Keep going and enjoy the hopeful adventure that is 2014.
Gary :)
Hi Tina! Found your blog via M.J.'s Christian Catholic Blog. Enjoyed your stories, and I'm using the same word you are this year. I write a daily feature on Marbles In My Pocket with the intent of encouraging folks, and the theme this year is contentment. I started out writing on Psalms 23, and will return to it often, but will use Philippians 4:11 repeatedly throughout the year, as well. Stop by and take a look at my blog when you have time!
