Hello
dear bloggy friends! Today is a special day in Blogland. Today is
the first OFFICIAL announcement of the Blogging A-Z Challenge
co-hosts! Who will it be? To whom
will we turn with questions? What's all this about anyway? No
worries. You haven't missed the boat. You haven't lost your invite.
You haven't been dropped from my Christmas card list (I just no
longer send them). In fact, THIS is your official invitation to the
official challenge which I am officially co-hosting.
Your
other co-hosts for this adventure are:
Arlee
Bird Tossing It Out
Alex
J. Cavanaugh Alex J. Cavanaugh
Stephen
Tremp Break Through Blogs
Tina
Downey (that's me!) Life is Good
Shannon
Lawrence The Warrior Muse

We
are going to be working tirelessly to get you ready for this
challenge. Not quite ready to do an ironman triathlon? Not sure if
you can swim the English Channel? Never climbed a 14-er? (For you
non-Colorado types, that means hiking to the top of a mountain that
measures more than 14,000 feet) Not a even a marathon runner? This
challenge is for you. The only requirement is that you TRY to post
once a day, on the letter of the alphabet for the day, throughout April. That's it.
No penalties if you don't finish, but take a look at the benefits, if
you participate:
Your
blog will have more traffic
You'll
learn from your fellow challenge mates
You'll
find new blogs that entertain and encourage you
I
can't guarantee more followers, but last year, at final count at the end of April, I'd
gained 27. When all the post-challenge Challenge visiting was done, I'd gained a total of 72. SEVENTY-TWO! That's not a dyslexic number thing. It's true!
If
you're a seasoned blogger, there are benefits for you, too. You'll
have the golden chance to encourage others and help them navigate
their blogging career by sharing your triumphs (and tragedies, if you dare).
Sound
good to you? The linky list opens on January 30th
at the OFFICIAL (that's the word of the day, by the way) Blogging From A to Z April Challenge Blog.
Through
the coming months, we'll be sharing tips and ideas and working hard
to get you all excited for April. Feel free to contact any of us
with questions or concerns. That's what we're getting paid the big
bucks for. Well, not really, I'm exaggerating as I tend to do.
Hyperbole is a favorite literary device of mine...
I'm excited to be a co-host on this adventure. Never promised that I was a blogging expert. I'm just a girl who likes to write.
P.S Got a good question in the comments: Is it OK to join if you're not a writer? Of course! One part of what made last year so much fun was that when I was out visiting, I never knew what kind of blog I was headed to! If you blog, you can join this challenge. So to the artists, musicians, table-scapers, scrapbookers, as well as you whose blog defies categorization - hop aboard! We're an equal opportunity bunch.

YAY, A to Z Challenge! I'm excited for this one. I learned about last year's challenge on April 1st, so I had no time to prepare. I didn't make it through completely, but almost. But I started following nearly 200 blogs I never would have found otherwise, and I gained 55 followers!
YAY! I'm looking forward to another exciting challenge.
Hi Tina,
Great post! I'm looking forward to co-hosting with you for this challenge! I know we're going to have a lot of fun!
Cheers, Jenny @ PEARSON REPORT
Excitement!
I have no idea why Damyati's email won't work, but usually when people publish email addresses online they do it like this: name (at) mailclient (dot) com.
I'm not sure why, maybe to avoid spambots?
Anyway, this is so exciting. I've known Lee for years, but I always watched A to Z from the sidelines, too worried to commit to all that blogging. But I'm taking the plunge this year, and it's very exciting!
Hi, new follower and looking forward to my second year of A to Z!
very cool...and cool for you tina...
Because blogger is being a pain!
Very excited you are on board this year. Told Lee you'd make an excellent host.
And I won't scare you with how many followers I gained last year...
I just know we're going to become the best of blogging buddies leading up to the challenge! Fasten your seat belt! :)
Since I'm in a different time zone and tend to comment later than a lot of the others do, I'll just say I agree with what's been said so far.
Looking forward to having you as a co-host in this year's Challenge.

Tossing It Out
Like Lee, I'm posting from a different time zone so I comment later than many bloggers. This Challenge is going to be fun so just go with that. have fun and keep things simple. That's what I do. My posts are shorter than normal and straight to the point. Leaves more time to visit other participants and meet new people.
I'm thinking of joining the challenge. But I'm not a writer, I'm a painter. Do you think that would work?
@Mimitabby: of course! This challenge is about blogging, not necessarily about writing. Last year there were photoblogs, artist blogs, blogs by musicians, blogs that defy catergorization...a nice melting pot of people and ideas. Thanks for the question. I'm going to add that to the post!

"blogs that defy categorization"
I like that--it's very true.

Sounds like fun. I came here from Stephen's blog, and will take his advise. Count me in as your newest follower.
yeaaahh what a great thing you post,,always a great post =)
Stephen said to drop by and follow you. I'm a loyal foot soldier and did so. About A-Z, I'm on the fence but mostly on the yes side.
I'll be signing up on the 30th. It's going to be great!
I'm so glad I found out about this before I missed it!
Delightful post, as always, Tina! This will be a great A-to-Z year. I feel like we're back in the saddle again, but this time for the original shebang.
Congrats on co-hostership! I'm sure there will be plenty of coffee and/or energy drinks involved in the production of this thing. Cheers!
You are so organized! I'm impressed!
Very cool I think I'm going to become part of this as well :)
So glad to be co-hosting with you! This is going to be awesome.
Hi! Stopping by to introduce myself and wish you luck co-hosting this challenge! Glad to connect and looking forward to reading more of you. :o) Cheers!
Jessica
Much luck in hosting the A to Z Challenge. I just wanted to stop by and say hello and follow your blog. Very excited about the upcoming Challenge.
My husband climbs the 14ers (we live in CO). Not something I have yet attempted yet, but the month of April will challenge enough.
Nice to meet you!
I love the name of your blog! Life is Good...it's true! I am happy to be a new follower, and I'm looking forward to the challenge this April!
Haven't been out in the 'land much of late. Could you give me a holler when the time draws near. I may be out from under other obligations and would love to join in the fun. (I think you know where to find me?)
i am all ready exhausted and it's not even april, kidding it's going to put the blog world on it's edge... great to be part of the team.
